Our first Maui sunset. Pure Bliss. After getting settled in our hotel suite, we went down to the front desk to book some fun adventures for the week!
We knew we HAD to go to a luau, and snorkeling! We also had to take a tour of Maui and booked "The Road to Hana" which was a 8 hr roadtrip up and down through the mountains of Maui.
We ended up not getting a car rental (the whole, under 25 extra charge per day thing didn't fly with us) so we just walked to the closest place for dinner that night.
It ended up being one of our favorite places that we are the whole trip, and we went there again the last night we were on the island!
The next day we decided to brave the bus system, and head to the more populated part of the island. We headed back to the beach and shopped a little.
After a yummy Hawaiian lunch and some more time laying out in the sun, we headed to the grocery store to stock up on breakfast items in our suite. Getting to the grocery store on the Maui bus and carrying our groceries back to the bus, on the bus and into our hotel was quite an adventure. But everything is always more fun and exciting with my sweet husband;)
I don't do well with not knowing exactly how to get somewhere, or where exactly we are going, so getting on the bus in the first place was very nerve racking for me. Kevin is WAY better at things like that, and so I had to trust that he would take care of me, and that we wouldn't get lost. So many lessons of marriage learned on our honeymoon. All worth learning:) I love my Kevin Russell.
