27 days and counting!

So, my brother in law is here for the weekend! Such fun, so while the boys are being brother's I've been having a little time to myself on the computer, drooling over Christmas decorations, Christmas cookies, Christmas wrapping, Christmas anything!!

There are 27 days until Thanksgiving! Can you believe its already almost here?! With Thanksgiving, comes the Christmas season to me. The.very.next.day. I get to decorating!!
Anyway, Pinterest is the most addicting site of my life. Especially when it comes to all things Christmas, I mean I could spend days on that site just looking at all the adorable Christmas things! Never mind the fact that my time could be spent doing more important things. ha.
Here are some of the things I am really hoping to incorporate to our apartment this year (the first time I get to decorate MY own place with Kevin of course!)

I'm adoring red/white/silver ornaments in any type of glass container!

How cute are these jingle bells?? Can you say dollar tree project?

I am completely obsessed with all things WORDS. If it has any sort of cute saying or quote, I'm hooked. I just bought this adorable "Merry and Bright" sign at HomeGoods. OMGoodness its too cute!

This one, is one I am totally planning on doing, another dollar tree masterpiece. They sell the candle stick holders, and I'm gonna use some cute ornaments I already have! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Adoring this wreath!

Might just have to do this because it's Kevin and I's first Christmas <3

No matter how wrapped up in the "Christmas" part of the season, its always good to remember the real meaning of Christmas.

And lastly, I must explain my OBSESSION with "Believe." Polar Express anyone? The first time I saw that movie, I almost died. I was in love. It's my Favorite Christmas movie and anything BELIEVE I'm a sucker for. Just wait till I show you our first Christmas card this year!

Sigh, unfortuntley my husband won't let me get ANY decorations out until after Thanksgiving...I will have to work on him. PLUS my In-Laws are coming to visit us the week before Thanksgiving so I can't very well have boxes upon boxes of Christmas decorations laying around our tiny apartment. In the meantime, I will continue to drool over all sorts of Christmas decorations until I can get my hands on some for myself! Can't wait:)

27 days and counting!!

Our Wedding: The Ceremony Part 1

I wish that I had the time, and I hope to one day get to write down the exact words that were exchanged between everyone during the ceremony at our wedding, but for now I am just going to to the overall recap. Kevin was raised Catholic, and I was raised Christian (not that there is really that much of a difference between the two of us) but we knew that we wanted to do a mixed ceremony, by having a Priest and Pastor marry us. My Uncle, who works at the Church we got married at, married us as well as Father Ron, who actually was a coach on Kevin's football team when he played at our Community College.

Our ceremony was very traditional, as we are a very traditional couple. I would say we are old fashioned and traditional which are almost the same thing. We wanted all the traditional vows said, we didn't want to write out own. How cool is it to say the same thing that SO many amazing couples before you have said. Our parents, grandparents, great grandparents and many others.

Here is our ceremony in pictures. I figure this will be the best way to recap it.

Kevin waiting for me to walk down the isle

Here we go...

Trying so hard not to cry.. but the tears are just coming out. This was by far the best moment of our wedding, see Kevin waiting for me at the end of the isle, waiting for us to become husband and wife. No moment will ever compare.

Love this photo, Maid of Honor W is wiping her tears on the stage, and I love being able to see Kevin's face.

We had group hugs and individual hugs before Kevin and I walked up to the stage. Our parents are the one who got us to this point in our lives, and we wanted to thank them for that.
We had our grandparents walk down the isle first, then our parents. Then our 8 pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen. I loved everyone of them, but waiting in the back for all of the bridal party to walk down the isle was crazy! I couldn't wait to see my handsome groom waiting for me, and it just seemed to take forever!

Part 2 of the ceremony coming up!

Our Wedding: The Church

SOOO the church that Kevin and I settled on getting married in, was Green Valley Christian Center which also doubles as a Christian school. My mom teaches 2nd grade at the school, my entire family attends church there, and my Uncle is a pastor there! So, while it is not my home church (25minute drive from my house) we knew it would be special and so fun!

We had the rehersal the night before the wedding there, and set up some of the decorations, but here are some of my favorite pics of the church all set up!

The stage all set up!

One of my FAVORITE parts, the isle. Loved everything about it.

Overall, the details were what made MY wedding unique and I loved them all!! I remember telling Kevin on our honeymoon that I wish I could have just stood at the end of our isle after the ceremony and looked at the room for five minutes. It all went by so fast, however I do love the pictures that were captured:)

Up next, The Ceremony!!!

Our Wedding: Bride+Bridesmaids/ Groom+Groomsman

My groom and I decided we didn't want to see one another before the wedding. We are both very traditional and liked the idea of seeing one another for the first time walking down the isle (however, I could barely see because my eyes were filled with tears!) So this meant that as far as our timeline went, my bridesmaids and I took pictures together before we headed to the church. We took them outside at the Sand Rock Farm (duh, gorgeous!) and I loved that time with my girls!

I think that the timing of all the pictures worked out well. We had Sarah (my photographer) stay with us girls, and sent her 2nd shooter to the boys!

Maids of Honor

I love what Bridesmaid K said about me in these pictures, "your happiness and joy was so contagious on your wedding day." That is exactly how I felt, so giddy and happy to be marrying my best friend.

you can almost see the N painted on my toes, N for Nice of course;)

After our photo sessions it was off to the church! The hour was getting closer and I was getting so excited!!! Up next, is the church!
